The pattern is utilized to evaluate physical wireless communication security in different domains:

A core component in all application examples is the „PhyWise“ tool: a dedicated software environment that allows for time-sensitive testing of wireless communication security.

Automotive: The PhyWise Tool can examine situations where jamming device tries to interrupt communication between given nodes. PhyWiSe provides test environment that allows for evaluation of safety and security aspects of wireless communication. In this case, impact of jammer’s power on communication quality between crossroad and car was examined.

Aerospace: In the aerospace domain, the pattern is used to evaluate secure communication in aircraft communication.

Maritime: Examination of off-the-shelf transceiver under heavy jamming conditions and path delay during SHIP <-> SHORE communication.
